Promotional Tins: Mentos 

Commissioned by Perfetti van Melle - major producer and international confectionery player - we were asked to produce this unique tin. Perfetti van Melle owns various umbrella brands, including Smint, Fruitella, and Mentos. In support of Mentos' international 'Hello' campaign (also familiar from TV), we created this colourful and cheerful tin. The reason is that Mentos wanted to strengthen its brand in the Duty Free market: the shopping area behind customs that you encounter at international airports around the world. We believe the colourful tin will serve as a nice surprise for (business) travellers who are returning home. 

The result

Perhaps you've noticed it already, but the shape of the tin is a larger version of the familiar Mentos candy. The candy wraps itself, as it were! We have printed the tin in full colour and have embossed the top. The tin consists of two parts: a bottom and a lid/body. Both the body and the lid are deep drawn.

Mentos verpakking

To further strengthen the branding, Perfetti van Melle has packed the tinbox in a cardboard display. The result is beautiful; the tin immediately stands out on shop shelves. We look back on this project with great satisfaction. There's no doubt this Mentos tin will serve as a successful Duty Free product!
